It took nine innings to see a run cross the plate and unfortunately for the host team, it was the visiting Quakers from New Philadelphia who made it happen. Both teams hit the ball well throughout the game but could not find home plate until the Quakers scored on a single with a man on base. With one last opportunity, the Bobcats threatened as Sophomore Brock Valentine rocketed a double into deep right center. Cambridge was unable to capitalize as a pop fly ended both the inning and game.
The Bobcats will look to get back on track as they travel to John Marshall (WV) High School for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader. First pitch is set for 11:00am.
