The Cambridge City School District Board of Education accepted the invitation for the Bobcats to move to the Buckeye 8 Athletic League. Cambridge was offered the invitation after current Buckeye 8 schools voted unanimously to bring the Bobcats into the league.
Cambridge Athletic Director, Aaron Quinn, is excited about the opportunity for our student athletes. “Cambridge athletics is extremely excited about the opportunity to become a part of the Buckeye 8 Athletic League. We have a rich tradition with many of the current member schools and are looking forward to forming new relationships as well. I am confident that all of our teams will be able to compete for conference titles year in and year out. I want to thank our administration along with The Buckeye 8 Athletic League administration for helping make this become a reality.”
Cambridge will play out the 2020-2021 season in their current league, the ECOL and then begin full play in the Buckeye 8 beginning in the fall of 2021. The Cats will be in the South division that includes: St. Clairsville, Union Local, Bellaire and Martins Ferry.
