Bobcats News · Bobcat Alum Gives Back to Community

Cambridge Athletics places a great emphasis on COMMUNITY which is included as one of the department’s 3Cs.  A new initiative has been created by Bobcat Alum Chris Maximo who has organized a YMCA basketball skills camp for the youth of Guernsey County.  Listed below are the details:
🏀Jan 9th- Feb 21st SATURDAYS. **go sign up now**
This camp will revolve around basic skills and having fun for the younger kids. The older kids, 10-12 will strictly revolve around skill development. They will participate in a one hour workout where they will learn a routine to be utilized in the off season to consistently improve the most vital of skills. Shooting, passing, ball handling, triple threat, post game, defense, spacing etc. I learned these routines from local stars like Dorian Bass, Brandon Todd, Adam Davenport, and Tyler Felt. Local legends like Coach Gene Ford, Geno Ford and Coach Burson/Jay Burson at Muskingum, Jameel Turner of Cambridge/The University of Toledo, Derrick Dunn of Cambridge/Meadowbrook, and Dustin Ford at Ohio University. You can always learn from those who are better than you and pass on that knowledge to the younger generation. Also, the only way one can improve is to consistently put in the work! Most of all, we will have fun!
