Logan Mobelini didn’t feel much like getting out on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Cambridge Bobcats Varsity to a 13-3 win over Monroe Central. Mobelini homered in the second, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
Monroe Central scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Cambridge Bobcats Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. Monroe Central big bats were led by #5, #7, and #6, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity scored five runs in the sixth inning. Cambridge Bobcats Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Mobelini and Sean Perkins, a groundout by Braxton Wheeler, a fielder’s choice by Angelo Rocco, and a double by Caleb Bond.
Brock Valentine got the win for Cambridge Bobcats Varsity. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking zero.
#4 took the loss for Monroe Central. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing 11 hits and nine runs while striking out two and walking one.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity socked two home runs on the day. Valentine had a four bagger in the second inning. Mobelini had a long ball in the second inning.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity tallied 15 hits. Mobelini, Blake Brumfield, Bond, and Perkins each collected multiple hits for Cambridge Bobcats Varsity. Mobelini went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Cambridge Bobcats Varsity in hits.
